When considering eyelid surgery, hearing directly from someone who has been through the process can make all the difference. In our latest patient interview video, one of our wonderful patients sits down with Dr. Peyman to share her experience with an upper and lower blepharoplasty. Her story highlights not just the beautiful cosmetic benefits of

Many people live for years with one eyelid that sits lower than the other. They are used to tilting their head, raising their brows, or deleting photos where the droopy lid is obvious. Sometimes they tell themselves it is “just aging.” Other times they simply do not realize there is a specific condition called ptosis

At some point, she noticed something new in the mirror. Her upper eyelid skin was not just a little heavier. It was actually resting on her eyelashes. Eyeshadow disappeared under the fold, mascara smudged more easily, and in photos her eyes looked smaller and more closed than before. If you have ever thought, “My eyelids

Many patients come in saying, “I am not sure if I need my upper lids, my lower lids, or both.” They just know their eyes look more tired or aged than they feel. In some cases, treating only the upper or only the lower lids is enough. For others, like the patient in these photos,

They assume it is “just aging” or bad lighting—not a real eyelid problem. For some, that “sleepy eye” is actually ptosis, a droopy upper eyelid caused by a

We all have those big dates circled on the calendar—a summer wedding, a holiday reunion, or a milestone birthday. It’s natural to focus on the recovery time: “How long until I look normal?” However, many patients overlook the lead time required before the surgery even happens. The journey to a refreshed look isn’t just about

They say the eyes are the windows to the soul. But what happens when those windows are obscured by heavy, drooping shades? When upper eyelid skin loses elasticity and begins to “hood,” it can physically narrow your eyes, creating an expression that looks closed off, sleepy, or even stern—regardless of how you actually feel.
